Amp ‘the Champ’ Madden is an up and coming artist hailing from the Westside of Atlanta, specifically Ben Hill. Growing up in Atlanta, he attended D.M. Therrell High School where his interest in hip-hop and rapping began. His introduction into the rap game came in the art-form of free-styling while exploring the streets of Atlanta. Eventually he turned to writing and discovered that rapping was the road that he wanted to travel.
The most influential figure of Amp the Champs music is the late, great Bob Marley. With hopes of providing a positive message and addressing issues that face the times we are in today, Amp continues to deliver his intentions with the aspiration that his message will effectively reach others.
Amp has opened up for various artists, such as Kanye West, Pastor Troy, and T.I. He has also made a name for himself while attending Georgia Southern University performing at many campus events and local clubs around both Statesboro and Savannah, Georgia. With his business knowledge and economic principles, he hopes to incorporate this into his musical ambitions so he can achieve all that he is aiming for.
